Code23 opens in Reading. Hand-built websites for local businesses that needed to look bigger than they were.
- 2010s
The ecommerce years. WooCommerce and WordPress platforms for heritage tea brands, wine merchants, retailers and PR firms across the UK.
- 2016
First marketplace builds. We learn what makes multi-vendor platforms actually transact, the hard way, so our clients don't have to.
- 2020s
We stop just building marketplaces and start operating our own: Costhetix, BigSleep, WorkVans, Sponsorfy, Away Pubs. Skin in the game changes how you build.
- 2024
AI enters the workflow. Machine learning ships in client products, including a carriage estimation engine trained on 13,371 real orders.
- 2026
The AI-native rebuild. Specialist agents at every stage of delivery, senior people signing off every decision. Twenty years of judgement, multiplied.
